About
Built for South African investors who outgrew the spreadsheet
Tracking real wealth in South Africa should not mean US-centric apps, fragile spreadsheets, or handing over your bank passwords. Libevyn exists to give serious investors a better way to see the full picture.
Why Libevyn was created
Like many serious SA investors, I tracked my net worth in a multi-tab spreadsheet: EasyEquities, an RA, TFSAs at more than one provider, offshore, property, cash. Every month the ritual worked — until it did not. Formulas broke, limits changed after Budget, and no single view showed my combined TFSA room before a 40% penalty.
The alternatives were not much better. US and UK net-worth apps are expensive, built for Roth IRAs and 401(k)s, and ignore that my RA is locked until 55. Local budgeting aggregators want bank credentials and still struggle to show wealth over time the way power users actually think about it.
I built Libevyn to be the tool I wanted: one ZAR view across providers, SA tax buckets that make sense, cross-provider TFSA room, and a FIRE portfolio that understands accessible vs locked wealth — without asking for bank passwords.
About the Founder
I come from an engineering background. I am not a financial adviser, fund manager, or influencer — just an ordinary South African investor who got frustrated enough to ship software. I use Libevyn for my own monthly wealth update, and early subscribers shape what we build next.

Transparency: your data, security, and scale
Wealth tracking only works if you trust the product with sensitive numbers. Here is how Libevyn handles that — in plain language. More detail is in our Privacy Policy.
You own your numbers
- No bank passwords. You enter balances yourself — the same monthly ritual many investors already follow.
- Provenance on totals. Every figure shows which accounts and snapshots it came from.
- POPIA-aware. You can request access, correction, or deletion of your account and data (see Privacy Policy).
- No selling your data. We do not sell personal or financial information to brokers or advertisers.
Encryption and access control
- Encryption in transit — all traffic between your browser and our servers uses HTTPS (TLS).
- Tenant isolation — your account data is logically separated; one subscriber cannot read another's portfolio.
- Secure sign-in — passwordless email codes and industry-standard authentication.
- Payments — card details are handled by a certified payment provider; we do not store your full card number or CVV.
Backups
Your data is backed up automatically with point-in-time recovery so we can restore from operator error or infrastructure failure. Backups are part of our production operations — not an afterthought.
Infrastructure and scaling
Libevyn runs on a modern, scalable platform. As more subscribers join, we add capacity without rewriting the product. You should not notice growing pains because we waited until traffic spiked to think about scale.
Pricing honesty
Libevyn is a paid product — no ads, no selling your data to make money. Today we offer founding member pricing (see pricing) for early subscribers who help shape the roadmap.
- Founding members keep the rate they signed up for for the term they chose (monthly or annual) — we will not silently re-price you mid-subscription.
- Future standard pricing may increase for new subscribers as we add SA tax engines and features. We will communicate changes clearly on the website and by email — no surprise invoices.
- Annual billing lets you lock in a year at checkout; you know what you are paying for the period you selected.
If we ever change what is included in a plan, existing subscribers will hear from us before it affects them.
Important — not financial advice
Libevyn provides planning information and estimates from the numbers you enter. It is not financial, tax, or investment advice. Figures (including TFSA room, net worth, and FIRE progress) are not SARS-verified. Always confirm with SARS or a registered financial or tax practitioner before acting.
